Light at the End of the Tunnel explores the contrast between dark, moody clouds and the light breaking through the grey sky. The textured palette-knife work creates a rugged, weathered beachside landscape, with layers of paint adding depth and dimension.
The title suggests hope and optimism-the light breaking through the clouds becomes a reminder that brighter days can follow darker ones.
The surface is powerful and earthy, built entirely with palette knives and finished with additional layers of oil paint. The sides and edges of the canvas are painted and extended as part of the artwork.
Please note: This is a set of two canvases. Each canvas measures 60 × 80 cm, creating a combined artwork of 60 × 160 cm when displayed together.
